Shards of Glass

6 02 2012

It was a delicate sculpture of glass

Balanced precariously on a mountain top

Winds were soft

Barely keeping clouds aloft

And then one day

The sky turned gray

And wept out all the rain

A physical release of hidden pain

The torrent grew worse as the deadly hail came

And turned that delicate sculpture of glass

Into a million scintillating shards

That skidded of the mountainside

To lay upon the ground and bide

The chance to regain a love’s fragile pride

Ooh, scintillating. I like that word. And I definitely remember that one from The Bells, by Edgar Allan Poe. Sweet! Well, this next statement will be restating what is already known, but great job. I always love how you have so many different varying topics from piece to piece.

Oh well, hope you’re doing well. Wait…21 days till your B-day. OH mah gosh!! Well, I’m just going to say it early since I know I won’t have the chance to say it then….HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Read this 21 days from now alright πŸ˜€

Why thank YOU, most comedians I know do not delve into the world of verse, but you dive right in

Vampire Weather

When hearts explode
And shatter out
The shards embed
Into our eyes
Distorting love
And lodging down
Beneath the skin
Until we cry
Then melting through
Our jaded gaze
They find a way
Into the air
By traveling
From deep within
And coming out
In salty tears

Beautiful work Andrea!
